Why I’m convinced LiveVoice is the best live translation tool on the market – for businesses, churches, and conferences.

That I, as a co-founder of LiveVoice, am convinced our solution is the best might not seem surprising. But especially in times when AI translation tools are popping up everywhere because – again with AI’s help – it’s becoming increasingly easy to quickly generate any kind of app, I’m convinced our approach is the most successful in the long run, and that we’ve built something that surpasses all other solutions.

When we conceived the idea for LiveVoice in 2016, I wouldn’t have dared to dream what it would one day become. Nor would I have imagined how much work it would entail.

Because we didn’t make life easy for ourselves. Bootstrapped – without investor funding, relying solely on our own labor – we began developing something that wasn’t yet available on the market.

I was looking for an app to replace traditional interpreting systems, because my wife was an interpreter at our church, and we wanted to buy one. When I realized how expensive such analog systems are, I started looking for an app.

„There must be an app for that,“ as they say. But there wasn’t one. Real-time audio transmission was still in its infancy back then. Video conferencing tools like the ones that have become so popular since the pandemic were practically nonexistent and weren’t suitable for this purpose.

So we started developing one ourselves, initially as a private project alongside my job at Red Bull. We finally launched in 2019. And now LiveVoice can do not only human interpreting but also AI translation at the highest level.

We have customers in over 100 countries, including churches and other non-profit organizations, as well as companies and events of all sizes. From corporate meetings to large conferences, from Willow Creek to ICF, from Deutsche Telekom to the Web Summit.

Warum ich überzeugt bin, dass LiveVoice das beste Live-Übersetzungs-System am Markt ist – für Unternehmen, Kirchen und Konferenzen. 

Dass ich als Mitgründer von LiveVoice davon überzeugt bin, dass unsere Lösung die Beste ist, scheint nicht wirklich überraschend. Doch gerade in Zeiten, in denen KI Übersetzungs-Tools aus dem Boden wachsen, weil es – wiederum mit KI-Hilfe – immer einfacher wird, schnell irgendwelche Apps zu generieren, bin ich überzeugt, dass unser Ansatz der langfristig erfolgreichste ist, und dass wir etwas gebaut haben, das alle andere Lösungen übertrifft. 

Als wir die Idee für LiveVoice im Jahr 2016 geboren haben hätte ich nicht zu träumen gewagt, was eines Tages daraus entsteht. Aber auch nicht, wie viel Arbeit das sein wird. 

Denn wir haben uns das Leben nicht einfach gemacht. „Bootstrapped“, also ohne Investorengelder, nur mit eigener Arbeitskraft, haben wir begonnen etwas zu entwickeln, das damals noch nicht am Markt verfügbar war.

Ich hatte eine App gesucht, die herkömmliche Dolmetschanlagen ersetzt, denn meine Frau war als Dolmetscherin in unserer Kirche engagiert, und wir wollten ein Dolmetschystem anschaffen. Als ich realisierte, wie teuer solche analogen Anlagen sind, begab ich mich auf die Suche nach einer App. 

„There must be an app for that” heißt es ja. Aber es gab keine. Audioübertragung in Echtzeit war damals noch in den Kinderschuhen. Videokonferenz-Tools wie seit Corona gab es noch kaum und waren für diesen Fall auch nicht geeignet. 

Also haben wir selbst mit der Entwicklung gestartet, zuerst als privates Projekt neben meinem Job bei Red Bull. 2019 sind wir schließlich auf den Markt gegangen. Und mittlerweile kann LiveVoice nicht nur menschliches Dolmetschen, sondern auch KI-Übersetzung auf höchsten Niveau.

PART 1: Setting up Microsoft 365 Family

Step 1: Create a microsoft account for you as a parent.

Step 2 (optional): Get a Microsoft 365 Family subscription

The basic Microsoft Family Safety version is supposed to be free. In order to use all Microsoft Family Safety features you will need to purchase a Microsoft 365 family subscription. I already had a subscription so I don’t have experience with the free version, but according to PC Mag and other sources the basic functions should work well in the free version.

To buy a subscription, log in to your microsoft account and follow the instructions there. It is 99 € per year and you can share the licence with up to 5 members of your family (so with you 6 in total). In this way all of you can use typical Office apps like Word, PowerPoint etc. too.

Step 3: Create a Microsoft account for your child

To create an account for your child, log in to your Microsoft account, scroll down to the card „Family“ >> View your family
